Peter Dinklage (born 11 June 1969 in Morristown, New Jersey) is an American film and stage actor.

Biography

Peter Dinklage is the younger of two sons of an insurance agent and a music teacher at an elementary school. He suffers from achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism in which the body is fully formed, but arm and leg bones are too short. Dinklage has a size of 135 cm, in contrast to his older brother John and his parents, who have a normal body size.

Dinklage attended the Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont, which he left in 1991 with a degree in dramatic arts. Then he moved to London, where he graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Dinklage was also a student at the Welsh School of Music and Drama in Cardiff.

Dinklage 1995 debut as a film actor in the drama film Living in Oblivion by Tom DiCillo. He made it again and again to get television and film roles. A larger audience, he was known for his starring role in The Station Agent (2003). In addition, he was active between 2005 and 2006 in 13 episodes of Nemesis – with the attack, and in 2006 was seven times in Nip / Tuck to see.

In November 2004, Dinklage announced his engagement to the theater director Erica Schmidt, whom he 15 Married in April 2005.

2008 was Dinklage in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian see, the second film, The Chronicles of Narnia for the first time in a blockbuster movie. Since 2011 he has seen in the U.S. series Game of Thrones HBO; for his role of Tyrion Lannister in 2011 he received an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. His current project is the movie Knights of Badassdom.
